Best Ergonomic Mouse

Some of you may wonder “What is an ergonomic mouse?”. The first and most important thing to know about ergonomic products is the fact that these products are designed for people and their needs. You’d think this would be simple wouldn’t you? Well it’s not. There is a lot of time and money spent on researching our human movements and needs to make sure these ergonomic mice are 100% comfortable for all of us.

The ordinary computer mouse for sale at your local store is not made for you. Yes, they are made to click buttons and use as a cursor for your computer but for comfort, ease of use, and for health and well being, they’re not ideal to be used for long periods of time.

So what do you need? Well, you should look into buying an ergonomic mouse instead.

So, a mouse is called “ergonomic” if it offers us comfort. Does your arm hurt after hours of using a computer? Most of us work at an office and we have to click and type all day (sound familiar?), until our wrist starts to hurt. The best way to avoid carpel tunnel, aching wrists and sore fingers is by buying an ergonomic mouse. They aren’t just cool to look at, they are also very useful, practical and provide the most comfort whilst using a computer!

I've transitioned my life (and my family's) from a non-ergonomic to ergonomic lifestyle. It's relatively easy if you have the right information. Hopefully this site will answer all the questions and provide all the information you need to live an ergonomic lifestyle too.

    Hi James,

I have de quervain’s tenosynovitis on my right wrist and I am a right hander. Would you know which of the above mice would be more suitable for me? some people have recommended the handshoe mouse. Given the price of these products, I am looking for some feedback from an experienced user before I order online. I would like to go for the best option.

    • James   •     Author

Hi Arup. If I’ve read correctly, you have pain on your thumb? If this is the case, you would want a computer mouse that relaxes the thumb and provides more support for the thumb area. Yes the handshoe is a comfortable option. I wouldn’t go for the Arc or Logitech in your case.

  2. John   •

You have two of my favorites in this list. The vertical mouse is often overlooked, but it can be a big benefit to the wrist. The Anker and the Evoluent mouse are great choices. Really nice compare and contrast between the options here.

  3. George French   •

I honestly would never use the Anker again. It is a pretty cheap product, and when it comes to ergonomics you never want to go cheap. Just go with the Evoluent, you can program the buttons to do pretty much anything and its of better quality. Anker is just like any other cheap knock off when it comes to the Verticals.

    • James   •     Author

Thanks for your input George. Yes indeed, there is a massive price difference between the two products which represents the quality aspect for sure. However, the reason why it’s been included is to provide a wide selection for different budget options for readers out there. Again, thanks for your input, it’s much appreciated. Cheers!

  4. Matt   •

Have to agree with James, the first two he has included are my absolute favorite. I am addicted to buying these mouses, I buy one every year and give the older one to family and friends 🙂 I’ll be trying out the Arc one next year..

      Thanks for your input Matt
